evg ebike 24 volt battey box

Hi:

I'm new here, and new to ebikes, so please be patient.

I purchased a Lee Iacocca 24-volt comfort e-bike, minus the battery and battery box. The seller of this bike promised me that although the batteries were dead, he would get me the battery box that holds them. That was a month ago. He's moved, and stopped returning my phone calls.
I took the bike to Ecobikes, as shop in my area. They tell me that they can re-wire it to bypass the need for a battery box, but that it would be much better if I had the box. I can't find one anywhere. Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks,

rick

sorry to hear you got ripped off

I did a search on the net

http://www.paelectrics.com/parts.html

there is a possibility they might have the battery box
since they show they have one of the bikes

I, too, recently purchased a 24-volt EVG ebike missing the battery box. Mine was lost in transit by UPS. There is a company called Electric Wheels of Florida in Opa-Locka, Florida that sells parts for these bikes. They quoted me $225.00 (plus shipping) without the batteries for a new 24-volt battery box. It seemed mighty expensive to me, so I just rigged up my own 24-volt system for now. I am looking into going with lithium batteries to save weight and for the extended range, but they are very expensive, too.The e-mail address for Electric Wheels is:electricwheels [at] aol.com. Good luck with your battery box search. If you should happen to find some at a reasonable price, please let me know. Enjoy your ebike!

hi

one other thought is make your own
or even see if you can find a place to make you one if some
one can send you pictures of what it looks like

a battery storage box for me is far cheaper like 1/3 the price
but I understand yours is more specialized so it has to be built

and tell me if either of them look like they might work ?

I know the last one is expensive and more than likely is not the correct one
and it is in canada so that could affect things
