Titling a CuMoCo Scooter in Pennsylvania - Success!

Early this month I noticed that Current Motors correct information was finally in the NHTSA data base, so I made my third attempt at a title application. A title arrived today!

But there is one minor irritant. The "Make of Vehicle" is merely described with the word "EAST". Now what do you think that means? Unfortunately, despite their made-in-the-US WMI, I suspect that Pennsylvania is lumping Current's products under the category "generic cheap drop-shipped Chinese moped sold by a dealer of dubious legitimacy out of an old closed gas station". Being electric makes them even more suspicious. Even Vectrix probably get treated similarly.

But at any rate, there should now be no problems titling a CuMoCo product anywhere in the US, and that is good news.

Great to hear! I have not been looking forward to another bad RMV (in Massachusetts it's RMV, just to be different) experience. My last time in they made me pay sales tax on a trailer I bought in TN even though I had the receipt, clearly showing that I had paid the tax already. Grrr... Anyway, maybe things will go smoothly now for my C124 when I get it (looks like around Dec. now). I'll let you know what happens!

By the way, the EAST thing was just paranoia on my part. Govt. offices in Harrisburg were closed for a few days due to the floods and the person processing the titles must have been preparing titles for some of those East Mfg. Co. semi trailers and in a rush. I need to submit a correction.
