I would like to try a hard reset, disconnecting power from the electronics in my VX-1 to see if it will solve a possible software issue. I am trying to determine which connectors I need to unplug to accomplish this. In the photo are the connector "candidates" I have found so far. Which (if any) of these connectors do I need to unplug? Any suggestions on HOW to unplug them (I do not want to break them)? Best Regards, SimpleLife
No these are not the main connectors, I think these are the connectors behind the instrument cluster and next to the charger?
The main connectors for a hard reset are buried in the tunnel below the ignition key but only open this up if you know what you are doing - leathal voltages etc. and you can't just re-connect them without using an Inrush Current Limiter of some sort.

Nope. The connectors you are looking for are under the charger. two big, square connectors. Just unplug and plug them in.
These are the connectors on the bottom of the charger. Dana DeCosta (of Vectrix) showed me these and suggested that if my bike wouldn't charge to unplug and replug them in. But, I suggested this to someone else that was having a similar problem and it didn't help. You can try it without the inrush limiter - you are not interrupting the battery pack circuit. I think there would only be voltage there if the bike were plugged in.*

Hi oobflyer, thank you! Here is another view of the same connectors on my bike. To disconnect, do you unscrew the threaded side of the connection (location 1) or do you flip up the metal retaining tabs (location 2)?
I tried disconnecting at location 2, but was unable to pull the connector apart.
Flip the metal only.
The metal clip is just there to keep it locked in place. Once you push the metal clip up (unlock) you should be able to unplug it.
