Importing scooter from China, charger the same?

Hey guys,

My first post here so I hope I'm doing this right.

I'm looking at importing a scooter from China to the U.S. but I'm wondering if the charger used in China can be used in the U.S. as well? Do I just need an adapter plug or do I need a different charger alltogether?

Thanks in advance!

What model charger? Do you have any specs or descriptions? Most new chargers will accept 90-140 volt AC at almost any Hz. The chargers i got from China use a voltage doubler for 100-140 and for 220 volt AC accept 208 to 240. My charger is for XM-3000 and does 12 amp for smaller one and 15 amperes for the one with meters built in. An added bonus is I use it on 330 volt solar panel DC input. Only on 240 volt AC side since you can't double DC unless you go through AC first on caps.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a specific model, it was just a general question. I used to live in China and most of the chargers there were the same kinds. So would you say that in general, you can use a charger from China without any issues in the U.S. ?
