BionX motor failure with 48Volt battery

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I address you all in case someone can help me solve my problem, I bought an electric motor kit for my bike in the U.S. , with reference PL350 HT SL XL 48Volt. Which worked well the first month, but since time began to show an error on the screen (wrench) but it worked normal until one day the battery will not charge and from there I have my kit died ...... I wonder if any of you could help me or guide me in what I can do ......

did you check your battery? two things may fail, one is the batter, another is the controller.

Re: BionX motor failure with 48Volt battery

Hi
I have a 48V system also and I am waiting for a updated battery from Bionx which is suppose to take care of the no charge issue and other things I guess. I am waiting for my dealer to get it so I can try it out. It is taking forever since the recall was announced in december to my dealer. The battery might take care of your symbol. Contact your dealer about a replacement battery. This will be my second battery since I recieved the system in the end of May 2011. Not a real confidence builder in the battery so far.

Re: BionX motor failure with 48Volt battery

I bought 2 systems. Both consoles failed, then one battery, then one hub motor, then the other hub motor, finally the special order wheel had metal shards which were never cleaned out, and kept puncturing tubes. The warranty was good for awhile. So, after everything finally gave out I wrote BionX US rep, Mr. Coulombe.
No answer yet. I just feel it should work. Every other electronic thing I own works, so why not BionX?
And you're right. It sure doesn't build confidence. It's such a good idea too. Too bad the stuff is so quirky.
