**WHAT VOLTAGE WOULD BE BEST USED IN AN ELECTRIC CAR FOR BEST IN POWER AND ECONOMY??**

If anyone could help me with the question i would appreciate it as i want to build my own e car

The highest voltage you can get with available space and weight limitations. 96 volts seems to be the minimum for cars, with 120 being common in more expensive applications.

For safety reasons I wouldnt build or work on any vehicle over 72v

It largely depends upon what motor and controller you are using:

If using series DC and any related controller,
Go for the motors max rated voltage (usually 120V or 144V nominal, though kostov goes up to 360V)

If AC (any flavour), use Max voltage possible

If you have sepex, use rated voltage.

I working on a custom ev at 48v but I am using it to reach kids who are in the drugs and gangs.
If I was to build the car for the road I would use 144v and up to keep the amps as low as I can.

I am hoping to reach the 13 to 17 age range.
I made an electric motorcycle called Electra Green and for almost 4 years it did help with the kids and it is also on firstontop com
