Roehr eSuperbike in Australia

Hi guys,

One of my firends is now importing the Roehr bikes into Australia (only the Electric ones of course)

he made this video of one of the demo bikes:

motor presently takes 700A@96V :D

parts are easy to get hold of through Roehr

Any idea why Roehr's website is just showing an image of a sunset?

Any idea why Roehr doesn't take his SuperBike to a race and prove it's mettle?

I've written several articles about the eSuperBike over the year and while it has high end specifications, the way to prove a beastie like this is at the race track. Right?

He's stopped making them, kinda symbolic in a way

The interesting part is he was able to build a bike with that kind of performance from parts you or I are able to buy. That's why it only gets better from here.

admittedly putting all the parts together in a reliable way tends to be a bit of a time consuming tedious process

to be honest, the conditions on a race track are so different from what you encounter with a commuter bike that I don't pay much attention to what the results are

racing is useful for identifying what the limitations are on continuous power output, but not much more than that IMO

The irony of course is that every every manufacturer that has entered into competitions doesn't seem to sell any bikes above 25kw (my 250cc learner bike developed 37kw, 23Nm@15'500rpm, albeit I had to wait for it to warm up)

I'm at the stage where I'm bored with that much (or little?) power, I want more :)

I've seen the bike do 0-60mph in 3 sec, and 0-120mph in 10 seconds, which is enough for me.
for me the fist 0-20mph is very important, as you rely on it when splitting and going to the front at a set of traffic lights.

30mph - 50mph acceleration is important when filtering slow moving traffic

reliability of things like the charger and accuracy of the fuel guage over long periods of time are big things for me.

As far as racing goes, I liked the days where you could only race cars and bikes that were identical to the ones you or I could buy at the dealership.
