Hello,
Today I heard a loud scratching noise coming from the motor of my Vectrix, and with it a loss of power.
I pulled over. Off. Wait a minute. On. Rode home carefully with my heart pumping.
Has anyone ever had this problem before?
The gearbox oil was changed not long ago.
I thank you all in advandce for your coments.
I'm afraid to ride it until I have some feedback...

This is just my inept opinion but I have had the same thing happen when I am hard on the throttle and regen , and hot days. I pull over for a while, the fans run, when they finish I am fine. It might be overheat related.
Are all of the bolts to the rear wheel properly torqued? How about the brake rotor? If one of those is loose it might be rubbing on the rear suspension.

thats the IGBT's internal temp sensor shutting down the IGBT on over-temp.
If you get it often, I highly recommend removing your MC, cleaning both the heatsink and IGBT module, then applying thermal grease and bolting it all back down again
If the IGBT reaches temp cut-off too many times, eventually the internal temp sensor separates from the actual module and the IGBT fails

The IGBT monolith makes a screaming noise when it reaches cut-off temp ???
Seems an odd thing for it to do lol.
It sounds like when you hit the "rumble strips" on the side of the highway. Cuts your power... and then you get an overheat icon on the dash. Takes a few minutes for it to cool down and clear.
I'd follow Antiscab's recommendation then without hesitation and without using the bike too much 'til its fixed.
