Brakes

How do i adjust front and rear Brakes on my xb-610?

Also, are their better brakes than the ones from X-treem?

Re: Brakes

If your front brake works properly by activating it would lock the rear wheel .The rear brake when activated just cuts off power . A relay / diode/ rectifier and the defined alarm function on my replacing controller allowed me to regain that feature back .It is very convenient controlling electrical means to brake and rather leave the mechanical brakes for last recourse .Aren't we using magnets to propel ?My xpresso S lacks the dc/dc converter for the 12v signal motor lock though distrust any single component to act on brake because voltage fluctuation on my systems. To tell the truth , didn't know how convenient it was until it was necessary to tinker with .Good luck

Re: Brakes

Well, then it's simple :THE PROBLEM IS ELECTRICAL CONTINUITY ---A multimeter , effort and time

Re: Brakes

Aren't the brakes the same as on the XB-700Li?

On my bike there's an adjustment screw on the cable on the break's end.

When activating the brakes, the 700 goes into regenerative braking (takes about a second before it engages), and squeezing the handle harder would enable the drum brakes of the bike.

Re: Brakes

Yes, as far as I can tell. the brakes are the same.
I think i hold the small part with flats on it and turn the adjuster;
But it doesn't seem to adjust anything.

Re: Brakes

you can only adjust the mechanical brake distance. Not the electric one.
You'll have to tighten the outter washer. If it's already at it's tightest, you'll need to remove the wheel, and open the drum, to see if the brakes are worn or not.
If they are, you can google for your bike's parts (xtreme xb600 parts), and find a website that sells all parts.

Re: Brakes

Thank you.

I was able to free the adjuster wheel and adjust the front brake.
