My 3 month old XB-610 got hit by a bus while parked.
I'm looking for 600 - 750 watt scooters.
Has anyone bought a new one recently?
Or any sugestions?
Also links for newer scooters I may not be aware of?
I'm waiting on the insurance adjuster (I think its totaled).
After a flood of mediocre to poor (mainly poor) Chinese scooters in the 3000 watt range a few years ago, the market has dried up here, for now. Amazon sells a scooter in your watt range that's limited to 25MPH, but who knows about the quality. My advice is to look to local gas scooter dealers and see if they can order an electric for you. After all the shipping damage and remote tech "support" I've had to deal with, I strongly suggest you buy from someone local. Even if it's Walmart.

I'm trying to get rid of my XB700Li.
It's a great scoot, but too slow for my environment here, where the slowest roads are basically 30-35MPH.
It got a lot of storage; and I personally would recommend the electric lane only when you can afford it, want no noise or maintenance, aside from buying a new battery every 2 years, or when you can't have a drivers license. Then these mopeds are a good alternative.

If I get to keep the totaled scooter........I would have many usable parts; especially if i bought the same scooter. If that is the case i might have another delima to ponder.
Also, the new 2013 scooters will be comming out soon.

I test rode a XB700Li today.
It seems to have more torque than my xb-610.
I like the extra storage, windshield, and other features the xb-610 doesn't have.
