Hi,
I,m upgrading to lithium, and now I have some NIMH cells that I won't need anymore. If anyone in Barcelona wants them, contact me.
Cheers

Great to hear. Post some Pics! =)
Sure Todd!
As soon as the Vectrix is ready, I'll make an entire post about the conversion.
Sorry to take over, but I thought everyone should know that Vectrix has closed their shop again. They were working on a cool bike for Daimler and dropped the hammer on Tuesday of this week. Once again Vectrix closes their doors.......Bummer!!
Oh oh, I see GBs cells! Mechanically quite well done, but their chemistry and inner workings are already two generations back from what is available nowadys - unless they also upgraded in recent months...
My 24 40Ah GBs cells have almost three times the impedance they had when still new (after just 10000 km!), which has forced me to reduce maximum current due to massive voltage drops. And all that even though I religiously keep the battery at temps between 20 and 26°C whenever I ride or charge. Except for in summer they can go above 30°C and then REALLY come alive. They are most powerful between 30 and 40°C...
But as I say, they have very high impedance even when new - compared to more current offerings like CHL or CALB CA.
Oh well, they will probably still bring your more riding enjoyment than the old NiMH-pack of your VX1 ever did :-)
My rides:

Hi Victor, welcome to the forum!
It would be great if you could let us know more details, if possible.
There is another thread that was started about this topic, maybe post there so it does not derail this thread. It's located there: http://visforvoltage.org/forum/13594-gold-peak-pulls-plug
I have added some "points" to your account so you should now be able to post directly to the forum.
Regards, Mik

Thanks For the input Me roller.
Yes, I know they're not the best cells, but I managed to buy them at a bargain price from a dealer who has closed: thought not perfect, this lithium upgrade will be a real improvement, and is a perfect match to my pretty small budget.;-)
cheap and better, is better than, best and expensive !
All the NIMH cells have beeen sold out, Thank you!
