Heated glove suggestions

Hi all,

Now that the cold is approaching again (MA), I'm looking for advice on heated gloves since last year's double glove solution wasn't particularly effective. I understand that the accessory cable supplies up to 10 Amps and is a 2-pin connection. Would something like these work?

I'm wondering what might be the simplest (and reasonably priced) solution when I just need heated gloves, not jacket, etc.

Does anyone have experience in making the connection? Do you have to change the connectors to fit with what comes on the C124?

Many thanks for any ideas and advice!

Jeff

These battery operated ones look pretty cool (and easier to deal with)... Any thoughts on them?

This is just a German language site, but those heated gloves should do the job quite well, and the Lipo batteries are integrated into them:

I have found that simple hand guards, bolted on with the pivot bolt of the brake lever, lower the bearable ambient temp. of my gloves by 4 to 5°C! Without any a additional fiddling with batteries, charging and all that...

We just started selling these "ScootR Logic" mittens, and they really rock! I just came back from a 40 degree ride, with my bare hands in the mittens, and lived to tell the tale. I would still use light gloves under the mittens, and it's a little awkward to get to the turn signals, but doable. Just slip the small openings over the handlebars, and use the supplied velcro to close the openings inboard of the brake levers. We sell these for $20 plus shipping (for you Jeff, it's under $10 to ship).

Terry,

I have trouble seeing how they don't interfere with grabbing the brake levers.

Re: Heated glove suggestions

Yeah, I've tried the mitten things (another brand) but found them awkward and not particularly effective. So last week I ordered a pair of these lithium battery heated gloves:

So far they have been very impressive. The rechargeable batteries are supposed to last 4-5 hours and my commute is only 30 minutes or so. I used them in low 30 degree weather last week and they stayed toasty warm. In fact, I turned them down (they have 3 settings) half way to work.

Can't comment on durability yet but I'm loving them so far!

Cheers,
Jeff
