Last Firmwares for LI-LI+ vectrix

Last news point out that Vectrix EU has vanished. Nobody attempted to buy the remaining European assets. Vectrix Service portal has disappeared, leaving all local dealers alone. The source codes are gone, but at least the original Vectrix Li owners can install the last available firmwares, which provide a better charging program.

We've been suggest to use:

MC 2042-04
BC 8010-42
BMS R54
ICM 1008 or DIY 1708, it's up to you.

Once per month, We should program a compensatory (not equalization!) charge of 7 hours in summer, 4 hours in Winter. To enable that compensatory charge,

First, we set the duration of the Compensatory phase: activate the red kill switch, press S, set delay appears on the left odometer. Then twist the grip up until the numbers on the odometer display 7:00, and press S again. Now the duration is programmed.

To enable compensatory charge: Discharge the battery to 20-40%. Press left brake lever, at the same time turn off the bike. Then plug in the bike. It won't turn on, but during this phase some energy is drained to balance the cells. Some lights may be turned on for some seconds, it is normal. After 7 hours, a normal charge will start, with all cells balanced.

Many thanks to Jesnar2011 for this tip.

Anybody who need replacement parts, or need to repair NIMH LI30 or LI42 batteries, motorcontroller, charger or other electronics, may contact Jesnar2011 at http://www.jesnar2011.es/
Volttour ascc. have sent to them four damaged vectrix (1 li30 ans 2 li42 batt damaged and one MC with dwarfs inside), and had all them successfully repaired. They have proven to be very helpful and skilled.

The procedure you have outlined will simply set the delay prior to starting the charge. The EQ function you refer to was a tool for field techs to help them EQ packs that were compromised and had some cells replaced. The procedure required the newest diagnostic SW with a custom plugin in order to work.

Re: Last Firmwares for LI-LI+ vectrix

Xvectrix,

When the delay time is set to a minimum time of 4 hours in the latest firmwares, the calibration process is enabled by default.
During those 4-7 hour the battery is drained to balance the cells. Then a normal charge will begun.

As you point out, that process can be forced via scooterdiag 2012 v1.0. However, with no delay time, it will start from minute 0 of the normal charge, resulting into an unpredictable charge.

Do y0u think we can use the vectrix BMS with 40 cells calb/sinoply/thundersky 40a or 60a?
