Any place to get Leaf Cells?

Hi all,

Does anybody know where to get Leaf cells in Europe?

I asked a Nissan dealer, but they can't deliver them as a part.

Hi Hans

We can supply these cells new from the factory box, A & B modules, but have a limited quantity to offer.

Feel free to PM me

We also have loads of used (but good) nimh cells,

and a huge stock of brand new 20Ah high quality LiFePo4 pouch cells (A123 size but new cells and 20Ah for real)

We finished 3rd at the 2014 Wave Trophy with this cells, 48S3P, 150 km range. Our team is "la souris verte" : "the green mice".

Regards

Ah, you were the cool Vectrix gang with (battery?)-trailers and a French flag draped over the back during the "E-traffic jam" :-)
I fondly remember that day in Bad Canstatt. It was a true highlight in my electrified "career"!

Yeah !

I was the guy with the flag... i must admit !

This Wave edition was really nice, and the 2 VX performed superbly.

Mine had a twiked controller. We experienced 310 A @ 145 V pulls (on highway ;) )

Not good at all for the IGBT's, but it's still working fine, and i can't go backward now... way tooo cool !

Would like to change the speed limit to 120-140 km/h, but no one succeded, if i'm right.

As VX1 also has a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the only things that could get your bike faster are to change the gearing (but thus offering up acceleration and hill-climbing capabilty for more speed) or increase the battery voltage and tune the MC hard- and software to be able do deal with and to allow for this higher voltage to turn the motor.

Hi MEroller

Our VX's have the 'hi voltage option', 160V nominal (48S3P of Li-Fe 20Ah cells). But the sofware sets the speed limit : you can really feel it when the acceleration stops instantly at 110 kph. I've read it could go 140 kph without overreving the motor, but have to find a code Guru to try it !

The absolute voltage limit of the Parker Hannifin controller is 200V.

If you want to go faster, just contact FuelFree Motos here in Portugal.
My V is at 120Kph and there are a couple of them at 130Kph already. The master says 140Kph is possible.
310 Amps is insane :)

Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas is the place most of us in the US have been getting them from. Stock seems to vary, so you may need to wait or act fast. Great folks to work with (at least my experience). Alternatively, search car-part.com for a gently used pack: I've seen them go for $2,400 for a 48 cell pack - sell the unused ones and yours are free... Remember that Nissan changed the chemistry for 2013 towards better performance in hot and cold weather, supposedly (so the newer cells may be slightly more expensive).
