ATVs by Xtreme ?

Hi all,

New to the site, and very glad to have found it.

I am considering buying an electric atv. I cannot afford one from Barefoot motors or similar high end ones. I have been thinking about the 750 Watt or 1000 Watt from Xtreme. This would be for around the yard and for my kids. Any input or feedback on these or Xtreme products in general would be great.

(I currently have the Kango electric go kart, which is awsome, a GE Elek Trak 15 (not working), a micro electric quad (350 Watts) and a MudE dirt bike, which I rode hard and now needs a new motor).

I am also thinking about the Razor 500 mx or 650 mx.

Thanks.

Jim F

The lack of any replies should tell you something. :)

Hi Jim F,

I've a good background on electric quads.

The Xtreme machines are definitely not the most powerful option out there. Others can give you opinions as to quality though. I've no idea, just regularly see their false advertising re it being the most powerful electric quad around.... yeah right...

If you want to buy American, there simply is nothing better, in terms of value for money or reliability or saleability, (in my opinion) than a Gorilla from Doran EV www.doranev.com. This is a beast of a machine and has an 8 year pedigree and testimonials, unlike pretenders like the Barefoot. You can also look at the EU-made GEO electric quad, fully road-legal and available stateside from www.evufargo.com. This will likely be as expensive as a Barefoot.

Zap have imported on and off from Erato / Mountain Chen, both for quads and scooters. The quality MAY be much improved (very hard to know) but the 2 I bought were truly dreadful in many respects. That was 2 years ago. Wiggo, on here, purchased 2 6kw atvs recently enough from that source. Hopefully he will tell us how that has gone for him. If I could turn back the clock, I would have profited more by buying a dearer US machine from Rick Doran who has 20+ years of graft in the EV business. Instead of a false saving from China. In this specific case.

The Gorilla will tow or shunt a 4000lb car. Now that's worth quoting.

Electric ATV by EVS with torque adjustment

Well,

despite asking Wiggo through the forum and by PM on 2 occasions, I've never heard anything back. I can only imagine that he is embarrassed by the testing and product quality as I was . .

Incidentally Jim F, EVU also stock smaller non-road legal electric atvs. Used to have 800w but also would have 450w.

More recently, EVS FINALLY have produced the eForce for public consumption. Finally!! Nice looking ,good videos, fair pricing for the specs. EXCELLENT torque adjustment feature. Check that out John H if you're reading!!

Re: ATVs by Xtreme ?

It's been a while since someone posted something on this thread, but I wanted to follow up.
I bought myself one of those expensive Barefoot electric atvs. Sweet ride and lots of fun.
However, I had my son that would love the rides just as much as I would, if not even more. So I did a little research and I came across an electric mini atv quad 1000w 36v for kids from belmonte bikes:

https://www.belmontebikes.com/collections/atv/products/electric-mini-atv-36v-1000w?variant=18281272641

I decided to give it a try, it was only $800 including delivery.
Now I have both, and my son and I go on little ride-arounds all the time. Surprisingly, the mini kids atv from belmonte bikes is great quality. Fully electric and pretty fast too for my son but i was able to limit the speed on it. My son is happy and I am happy.
