Anyone have the 19 cell LEAF software?

Looking to remove temp boards too.

Hi, I'm new to the Vectrix world. Still having NiMH, but they tend to overheat while charging. Where can I find team Laird's software? The link above doesn't work for me.

You may need to email/PM Sandy aka The Laird.

Simon, have you been emailing me on ebay?

Yes that was me, I've got the files now but they go way above my head I'm pretty concerned I'd fry the bike.
Rode it this morning but got the red light about 2 miles from home. Crept home but now it won't charge.......
Bugger!

I'm more than happy to help you out at some point. Easiest way is to get the bike to me, I have forgotten where about's in Essex you lived but you aren't a million miles away. Worst case scenario, i'll head up.

If after a couple of charges you are still only getting a couple of miles, take the battery out and give it a check over; cell by cell. Keep riding it and you will only cause more damage to the pack.

Re: The Laird's Team Files for the VX1

Thanks, that's very kind. However I have a more pressing problem.
Returned from a short ride today with the red battery light on. Parked up and waited about an hour before I plugged it in to charge (bike was showing 126 volts, 22c)
Nothing.......no lights no movement of the speedo, just nothing at all.
Checked the fuse in the plug and the extension cord, all fine. Any ideas?

Installed the software today and it makes huge difference. The battery is not even getting warm, while on the original software it was getting really hot when charging.
Is it possible to turn off this constantly running fan? Especially when it's not that hot (below 20 degrees or so)?

Re: The Laird's Team Files for the VX1

I have just tried to download the "Scooter Diagv21.rar" file, but Avast antivirus wouldn't let me, because it says the file is infected with "JS:Redirector-AEP [Trj]".

You have been warned!

Re: The Laird's Team Files for the VX1

You're right. There's an extraneous file named dl.exe in the RAR archive. I've scanned the other .exe files and they show as clean, so if you do need scooterdiag just delete dl.ext after unpacking the archive.

Re: The Laird's Team Files for the VX1

Hi guys

I have just built a nimh pack for my vectrix out of two sets from two bikes. I individually discharge tested them and kept the best cells (as you can imagine, this took forever!). Most are at close to 90% capacity after so many years..

They are all installed in the bike and it is up and running.. My bike has stock firmware - but I'd like to try Laird's firmware files to get better charging characteristics (the pack originally in my bike had LOTS of bulging cells)

Can anyone provide the files (the link in the original post is dead). Much appreciated!

Re: The Laird's Team Files for the VX1

Hi all

Is there a file in the box file linked a few pages back, for the 36s Leaf pack upgrade? There are a lot of files in there and they are not that clearly labelled.

Many thanks!

Alex
