So, after quite an Odysee of faulty parts and missconfiguration. My Bike is on the Road again.
Thanks to Vectrixparts my crashed Motor Controler has been reprogramed - in fact, they did a low Level fixup - They replaced all the fuses with replacable ones and even added the 150A main fuse to it. Which has been removed by the former owner of the bike.
With finally the latest Firmware on it and prepared for LiFePo4 batteries I did my first ride...
Wow, what an expirience! No droping of power even after 50km. with ups and downs. What a feeling!
I plugged it to the charger and to my suprise the charger was charging the bike and I thought it would never stop. After 6h and when the batterie already showed 144V I just disconnected the Bike from the Powerplug.
Next Day I rode to work with my bike. Marvelous! It was so nice to ride, I even did a detour and came back home after 56km. No droping power, no performance issues.
Back home I connected the bike to the powerplug and started charging. After 2h, suddenly the lights in the house went off. I checked the fuse in the basement and it was flipped off. I tried to flip it back on but it just switched off again. So I went outside and checked the bike. I unplugged it and switched the fuse back on. All lights ok, I plugged in the bike: bwamm! Lights off!
Shit, what is going on now, I thought.
For what ever reason, my Silver charger died! was it because of the new Firmware I uploaded downloaded from Dugas or was it something else? I just did not know.
I got again in contact with Vectrixparts and asked them what their opinion might be. The feedback was, we do not fix those chargers and for my batterie configuration the gold charger would be better anyway.
So I decided to by this gold charger.
when it eventually arrived at my dorestep, I replaced the old one with the gold charger. I tried a testride... whuf it was unridable at all. I was not even able to ride 500m. So I called once more Vectrixparts. The answer: oh, yes! we have to do some changes in the configuration of you charger. OK, they did a remote session and changed some settings on the gold charger. I did another testride and everything was back to normal.

So that's my story! My bike now is running again. I did a testride of about 60km. and quite as it reached the 60km mark, the bike went limb. I was glad that I did not had to push the bike home. It really just had enough power to bring me home. After that it got silent.

As long as the powerdrop does not reoccur with lower temperatures I would say issue solved. Another lesson learned and thumbs up!

For what ever reason, my Silver charger died! was it because of the new Firmware I uploaded downloaded from Dugas or was it something else? I just did not know.

As I'd already told here, be careful, Dugas firmware have some kind of killer bug, many esd and gold charger (not all of them) fail after installing this firmware. I've lost one ESD and 2 EVPS before I reached this conclusion.

So I decided to by this gold charger.

The Tc charger is far more recommendable (less weight, more power, more reliable, however it is quite more expensive).

Look for some leaf cells and upgrade your bike, it will become powerful, useful,enjoyable, like new!

So, after more then 2 Month on the road again with my VX1, it looks like my issues have been solved. I can ride the bike up to 60Km until the batteries are down. I found that as soon as the batterie low signs show up, I can ride another Km and than it's over.
I noticed that one single cell seems to be end of life. The last time I rode my bike to the batterie low sign, I had a look at the voltage of the cells. One of them was 0.3V lower then all the others.
Next time I ride the bike to zero, I will check if this cell again is that much lower than the others. I'm thinking of replacing this cell.
I'm not sure if it makes sense to replace one single cell. maybe I have to replace all cells of the whole Batterie Management System Group (10 Cells) or even better the whole Box (20 Cells)?
What would you recomend?
I know best would be to replace the whole bunch but this quite a bit of money.
btw. Where would I get Leaf cells?
