Hi all vectrix lovers, I need some help to get my first 100 mile on my VX-1 07 vectrix. I own this scooter from 2007 and ride once when was new , left it on garaje since then no time to figure how to get charge . If anyone get me some tips how to start to get my scooter to life - or put new batteries on - or what will be the best choice to start. I'm in Raleigh NC ,
Your battery pack is going to completely flat after being left unused for that amount of time, but it should be recoverable. However, it will initially need to be recharged using a suitable trickle charger to raise the battery voltage above 100V.
Check out this post to find out how to use a couple of cheap LED drivers as a homemade trickle charger to raise your battery voltage back up until the onboard charger is able to start again.

My vectrix already passed 115.000km mark, and my friend Xandre already hit 180.000 km. We are wondering if at 199.999km+1, km will go to 0 km, but will miles be reset also to 0?

194K!!! Impressive! Any issues with your vx1 after all those thousands of kms? may it be possible to post pictures of kms and your vx1?
Since I last uploaded photos (I think at around 150k km?) I have burnt out another motor controller - internal failure with two low side gates failing short circuit. Made the bike very hard to push :(
I currently use a motor controller that has a damaged DSP chip, so regen is weak, and I no longer have field strengthening (low speed acceleration is compromised).
I do have a spare good motor controller, I'd just like to wear out the one that's a dud

You really think it'll wear out? I don't see them as tires that get a little closer to death with each ride. My bikes are still in brand new condition, perhaps the NiMH batts are a little worse for ware, but otherwise they ride like the day they came into my life (or better on the now LiIon bike)

I wore out the IGBT module on my last two motor controllers - all had the same failure mode
momentary cut out on over temperature (internal IGBT cut out, not the motor controller cut out) under hard acceleration becoming gradually more frequent until the IGBT fails short circuit internally
I'm pretty sure they fail due to the phase current getting too high for the module under some circumstances causing the IGBT to degrade internally. Normally the IGBT module shouldn't degrade that fast, but when pushing a 300A device to the full 300A (peak) there's no room for error
I've thought about making a IGBT module replacement using 200V MOSFETs, as their switching and ON resistance losses can be made significantly lower, as well as increasing the current limit. I doubt I'll get around to it though, too many other projects

Mine has just clicked over 130k Klms currently using Nissan Leaf batteries and doing a 65 Klm round trip to work each day in Adelaide south Australia

How have the batteries held up as far as power and range is concerned?
Weakest cells are 2009 manufacture date, with 37Ah of capacity remaining. Power seems to have stayed the same.
The 2010 manufacture cells have slightly more capacity, at 42Ah

OK, so perhaps you are implying that if you ride the bike hard it will fail, not that all IGBTs in Vectrixs are bound to fail

No I think all IGBTs in Vectrix are bound to fail internally
Highest mileage I have seen on a Vectrix motor controller is 60'000km.
I'd love to hear how many motorcontrollers other high mileage riders have been through

wow, 194k km!Incredible mark!. In Italy they are working on SEVCON adapter, I guess this will be the future MC of our vx1s
