Laying up a Vectrix

I have a VX1 Li+
It runs fine, but I don't ride in the winter months so it will be garaged and unused. What is the best thing to do in storage?
Leave it plugged in all the time?
Charge it once a month (or so)?
Not charge it until the spring?
I won't get the opportunity to ride the scoot to flatten the battery prior to re-charging in the garage
I presume it's better to fully charge if prior to storage?
Thanks in advance.

I think that :
a battery is made to be charged and discharged

when it's sunny, you can go rolling;)

Re: Laying up a Vectrix

If the battery pack is anything like the Nissan Leaf 24kWh I once had, I heard the best advice if not planning on using it was to store partially charged (around 40-50% if I recall correctly) and check / top-up even now and then as required. It would seem Li-Ion battery packs do not like to be kept fully charged or fully discharged for sustained periods.

Does the Li-Ion VX-1 suffer with the same issue as the Ni-MH in that when switched off, it's in a kind of sleep mode and can lose a few volts per week?

Re: Laying up a Vectrix

nissan leaf club, a lot of nonsense ...

but I think the truth is here.

leave the batteries charged at 50%

and disconnected the 12 vdc, otherwise it will consume on li-ion batteries.
