VX-1 J1772 port, extra charger, Givi airflow windshield and seat mod

Winter is here so it's mod time. I added a J1772 socket just below the tail light to make it easier to plug into Level 2 public chargers. It was originally an adapter from Tuscon EV so it had the resistor and diode to turn on the charge station already. There is plenty of room to mount the socket and the wire comes out in the under seat storage. The adapter had #12 wire so I split that into two # 14-3 conductor cords with plugs on the ends so I can plug in the onboard charger and/or my extra 2000 watt portable charger. In the pics you can see there is a white wire attached to the charger which is a plastic coated stainless steel wire for security which is attached to a bolt under the seat. In use I just remove the portable charger from under the seat and place it under the bike and plug in the J plug for 3500 watts charging. The portable charger is auto switching 100 to 240 AC just like the onboard one . You can't use them both on 110v because you will blow a 20 amp breaker. I leave it there all the time and there is still quite a bit of room for other stuff.

The Windshield is the standard Vectrix winter shield with the sliding part from a GIVI Airflow windshield which can be purchased seperately. I made plastic sliders to mount it so it is adjustable up and down. It is just held by friction so all that is needed is one hand while driving to raise or lower. In the low position it improves the airflow by making it smoother and cuts down on buffeting. When it is raised I have to look through it and it blocks allot of air. Lowered I can ride up to 40 mph or more with my face shield up. It is the best windshieald I have ever had on a bike.

The seat mod is done by simply moving the spring attachment to hold the seat open farther, a useful 10 minute project.

I should add that the bike is running on a 32 cell 90 amp hour LG lithium pack that gives 10.6 KWH.
