Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

That looks great

Any idea on power increase? better acceleration? (we know from the TREV days that the vectrix motor is capable of more)
Cost of conversion?

Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

I'll try again; do you mean *Sevcon* is working on an alternative controller? Where did you get this info, please?

Wow, X Vectrix, I have been wondering what happened to you. I used to read your posts with such joy. Good to see you're still kickin' around

Hi Dugas, nice to read you here. So you build that board? Had it ever worked?

Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

Yeah it worked just fine. I think the MC was a prototype that Sevcon was developing for high voltage. At the time they didnt have a high voltage model.

Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

Wow it's a really old motherboard, I've seen it 10 years ago. The good thing is that the Motor parameters can be changed directly from the sevcon console.
If I'm right, the can bus still include the SevCon commands.

Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

Since Sevcon has a High Voltage model, like the https://cdn.borgwarner.com/docs/default-source/default-document-library/gen4-size-8.pdf?sfvrsn=4b2b5a3d_7
How hard would it be to integrate it on Vectrix?

Re: MC Sevcon Upgrade

I wonder if you still have access to the DCF files used on that Sevcon MC 15 years ago. It could be really helpful on integrating a modern Gen4 Size8.
