Vectrix Poland still has a web site advertising its bikes, but the parts page hasn't been loading for several months now. I sent an email to Piotr asking about their status but I've received no reply. Anyone know what's going on over there and whether they'll be offering parts and support again in the future? I'm wondering if they intended from the beginning (when they bought the component stock from the Vectrix bankruptcy sale) to build and sell as many completed bikes as their parts supply allowed while selling excess bits and pieces to Vectrix owners, and then just shut down the business once they ran out of components rather than expensively tooling up to stay in production indefinitely.
If anyone has any info, please share. Thanks!
This is the best question of the year.
I've just glared at a picture of Vectrix CEO Piotr in japan opening a new vectrix store... in late 2022!!!!.
If anyone could explain what is going on with vectrix, I'd be really very grateful... Have a look at new vectrix store:
...the company that refuses to die. Go Vectrix!
I actually tried to by stock in Vectrix (way back when...).... but they wouldn't let me....
Hello everyone
I'm ex employee that worked in Vectrix in Poland.
Unfortunately, due to series of catastrophic decisions company and other- sister copany "Electreecity" does not exist any longer.
I was just curious if enyone needs information, so after I've found this forum i decided to write a note.
Summary:
-Not a single employee exists right now, and there is no access to original documentation.
-Every person from this company that had eny piece of knowledge abandoned it and is not willing to take part in anything related.
-Company has huge debt and unpaid fees for storage wchich goods has been taken into account.
-Only salvaged and "reused" parts sometimes pop-up there and there...
-BMS will not be available. Seriously, last shippment of BMSs were made like more than two years ago and they were financed pre-production with missing parts...
-Lots of parts were lost because of lack of interest in maintaining them.
-Approval for use at least in EU and register new frames is expired
-One of most crucial component for production was destroyed by mistake and cost of reengineering was insane.
-Competent people that knew how to run a buisness left many years ago.
(Buisness model when you hire lots of people but do not give them any necessary freedom to decide wont let you survive even if you will find "investors" at this state, i was burning money)
-Piotr is not answearing call and messages from anybody, but if you menage to contact him he will try to make a "deal"
Shame that having financing and team that knew how to deal with whole system it all fell apart. At first it looked like there is plan to develop but it appears company was just selling everything on it's shelves.
It was good while it lasted. The end unfortunately.
