Yet another vendor

Anyone know anything (that they can substantiate) about this company and this product:
http://www.efun-ev.com/pro-d.html

I really like their styling and from the quick view I expect it's in the same performance ballpark as the Z-20 and XM crowd. Note that the EFun B is yet another XM2K / Z20 look alike.

Anyone know a price? Or if these are for sale anywhere in the US?

Thanks,
john H.

I am not sure if it is the same bike but I think the 'EFun D' might be the 'Matrix' from FalconEV. The two have the same specs. Andy from FalconEV ('proton' on this site?) quoted me a price of $7000, if my memory serves me right - cash only, half down, and a 4 - 5 month turn-around.

Could be for sale in a month or two. Performance according to the manufacturer is better. Top speed 55mph. Intro price around $2,500. Quality is the biggest concern.

I don't understand what you are telling me here. I'm talking about a 55mph scooter. Are you talking about a 42mph scooter?

Re: Yet another vendor

This sounds almost too good to be true, but I hope that it is. Even with the 5x12Vx50ah agm sla battery pack this would be quite a bargain at $2500 especially for 55mph. I could always convert to lithium later instead of trying to eat the $7000 that Falconev is charging for their Matrix version and yet giving only a 6 month warranty on the expensive lithium batteries.

I also think US$2500 is too cheap.. ermm,, Sorry.. A bargain.. They really are a step up and should be sold as such.

Lithium ion version available

Could be for sale in a month or two. Performance according to the manufacturer is better. Top speed 55mph. Intro price around $2,500.

I'm taking orders for the lithium ion version $3,200 and for the lead acid version $2,500. http://fun-ev.com/
Expect the price to go up after forum member(s) report their experience. Payment is up front and delivery is within 4-6 weeks.

Re: Lithium ion version available

Good luck with your venture. Unfortunately I'm not paying up front for an untried product.

I guess I'll have to see if I can get in at the right time - between the first forum member posting positive experiences and you raising the prices. That's what I did with the XM2K (although I would still buy at the $1900 price it's an amazing value, it works well and is here right now - you can have one in less than one week with free shipping)

I sincerely believe the XM2K is the best alternative for most folks.

p.s. that's an example of why telling people in your signature what your affiliations are is important.

Well, for me when it starts getting into that much money...I certainly wouldn't purchase until I knew of the experience of others here...and I suspect most wouldn't.

I expect to be taking most of the risk. If you are not happy with your purchase then you can ebay it, and I'll pay the difference.

Re: Lithium ion version available

Retail price of $3200 at 40AH60V (20cell) lithium power E-fun ? Unbelievable,take care of your money !

The FOB price should be around $2000,let alone sea freight and wholesale profits.

Re: Lithium ion version available

I'd love to hear any stats on the e-Fun and also on the XM-2000 regarding one's legal ability to ride it in the US.

The XM-2000 is DOT certified, comes with all paperwork required to register as a motor driven cycle (which is kind of halfway between a moped and a motorcycle). In many states these have been successfully registered as mopeds. I personally know of 2 in Michigan, 2 in Virginia and 1 in California - all being ridden regularly as mopeds. In Michigan and California this means they are displaying moped tags that were issued to the owners based on the info requested by and provided to the appropriate authorities. BTW, in Michigan a moped does not require insurance.

Well, except that they are almost all gone, at least the new ones.

Yep, according to my site ( http://www.revevllc.com/xm2000.php ) as of this morning there are only 10 remaining (3 red, 7 blue - the blue is way nicer than the red - speaking entirely objectively of course). Remember that readers of this forum can get free shipping (enter freeship in the coupon box).

Re: Lithium ion version available

I don't think the price is correct for the LifePo battery version ($3200).
According to my calculation. battery alone is well over $1600 (wholesale before shipping).
That just the cell alone, not accounting for charger, BMS.

If you could sell Lithium Efun D model for $3200..count me in.
But I'll wati till you take delivery of the shipment and verify the contents.

Re: Lithium ion version available

You'd have to restrict yourself to 30 mph in California. Otherwise you'd have to register it as a Motorcycle and then get it insured etc. What kind of range do you get from the XM-2000 at top speed?

Thanks.

DanCar:
Why is your price dropping by 100s every few day?
and does that price include shpping to the buyer's door?

Its just an intro price, to get someone a good deal on this forum. Price will go up quickly after positive reports.

This is a bad thing? What's the big deal? It's not that hard to get a motorcycle endorsement and it'll do everyone in the the driving/riding/pedeling public good if people on powered two-wheeled vehicles do this. Just get your motorcycle endorsement and insurance!

Wellllllll....

When I started the fact I could buy the EVT 4000 w/o any further legal requirement made it very easy to say "Sure, I can do this" and just do it. At the time I was very afraid to ride a motorcycle but somehow the scooter made all the difference.

But having taken the motorcycle safety program class.. having ridden a gas motorcycle the last year ... (to prepare for riding the electric motorcycle) ... I think the M.S.P. has some great information and teaching that is important for all drivers to know. And it's especially important for anybody riding an unprotected two/three-wheeler.

Safety means being aware, very aware of your surroundings, what is happening a few seconds down the road, and planning ahead

It woke me up to how dangerous most of us are driving a car. I'm more most people driving their car aren't paying very much attention, their mind is wandering etc. I know that's what I do, or rather did until I started riding my motorcycle. Riding the motorcycle has been very good training to become a better driver overall.
