Ryobi Batteries

Anyone know anything about the Ryobi Lithium Batteries out now?
Are they the same as the Dewalts?

Just curious, saw an ad for new Ryobi Lithium ...

Re: Ryobi Batteries

According to one source at, Toologics.com
a $100 "lithium upgrade kit" including a new 2.4Ah battery and charger will be available November 1st.

Just looked again, these are 18V and Lithium Ion ... so I guess nothing to get excited about.

Maybe I better spend some time reading the Battery section of the V Community Library ... :D

Lithiums would make your landings softer.

I don't know Chuck, I think another Schwalbe, Big Apple Tire would be a lot cheaper and soften those landings quite a bit.
Of course then I might have to worry about bouncing over the house ... it's always somethin' isn't it?

Re: Ryobi Batteries

Yup, I'd definately get some lithiums if I had the 500+ smackers ... ain't gonna happen till they come down to half that price, otherwise I'll just cruise like a tank and be happy.
