Need some brains please , making a powered side car

Hi , I'm a new guy and I play with my elec. scooters , I want to build a powered side car for my 60 v scooter , the sidecar will have it's on batterys and motor controller but i want to use 1 throttle , my ? is can i run 2 controllers with i throttle ? the doner scooter is the type as my scooter , I am hoping when i get done I'll have a 2 person scooter and get more mile to the charge or I may have more room for bigger batterys
