Chip Yates (SWIGZ.COM Racing) just posted this video giving an overview of the last year+ of their journey.
"Today we are excited about the release of our newest video "Concept to Reality". This short 3:20 video, created entirely by our own engineer Robert Ussery, is action packed and documents the key highlights we were fortunate to experience along our short journey of just 1 year from concept to reality!" ... "The incredible journey of the SWIGZ.COM Pro Racing volunteer team to create the world's most powerful electric superbike from the ground up. On their own terms, and within the span of just 12 months, three volunteer engineers and a group of sponsors were able to take on and beat gas powered superbikes!"
The email went on to say the bike was recently upgraded to a 240HP UQM motor, where they've been using a 190HP UQM motor so far. They're making some big claims that the more powerful motor will get them into MotoGP territory (except for range).
They've negotiated a series of public events at various races: "In other news, we are in a number of productive talks with event organizers and sanctioning bodies to put together a 2011 schedule that the world will never forget - news is coming!"
As the video is their review of their last year or so, the following articles should be useful as well.
