48v 12 AH Lifepo4 charger

hi guys just wondering if you might know if i can buy a bigger charger for this battery. It came with a 2amp charger and I'm wondering if it would be safe to use a 5 amp charger for occasionally quick charges when i take my scooter long distances. Supposedly the factory says a higher amp charger will lessen the lifespan of the Lifepo4 batteries in the long run (less cycles). Right now it is rated at over 1000 cycles and probably 85% capacity and less over time after that... However, ive seen on the 32 Ah Li-on Goped that it comes with an onboard 2.5Amp charger and a 6amp off board charger, so obviously some batteries can handle this kind of a charge....? What do you think? thanks!

Re: 48v 12 AH Lifepo4 charger

Its generally ok to charge up to 0.4C (so if your cells are 12amphrs you can charge at 0.4x12=4.8amps)

In theory the cells like a slower charge better, you could go for a 3amp charger.
The Goped has bigger capacity batteries thats why its fine with 6amps!
