Persisting Problems, controller water damage?

After it riding fine for 3 days after getting pretty wet in a rain storm, my EVT 4000e wouldn't turn on this morning. I get a high-pitched beeping error message and then it stays beeping with the red error light on. Batteries are fully charged according to volt meter. I took a hair drier to the controller and the E/P switch to no avail. Any other suggestions?
