I have constructed an ebike using a chinese motor off of ebay. It is a 48 v 1000w. Worked great for a month they my son took it out. He either ran it too hot or in low voltage or both. Now the motor will only work when I pulse the throttle. It sends power to the motor for 2-3 seconds. I can still get it to go by constant pulsing but hard on the thumb and I obviously cannot get it upto its previous speed. Is my motor toast? If so any recommendations on a more durable one. Thanks

Is it connection problem or the throttle is defect. I think the motor is not easy to be broken. Sometimes the controller may be the problem.

Thanks, I am thinking it is the controller. Are these controllers fairly universal. Was thinking of ordering another one but if this one was of such low quality that it only lasted 4 weeks I was thinking of going with another supplier. Does anyone have a recommendation for a controller for a 48v 1000watt motor?
