Battery gauge problem with new firmware

I recently brought my Vectrix VX-1 in to have the main fuse replaced. While doing that the dealer also upgraded the firmware on the bike. I've taken it out for a couple of fairly short trips, and have noticed that the battery gauge is still showing all bars, and the estimated range has consistently been showing 41 miles. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any easy way to get the battery gauge to start working again?

Thanks,
-Ron

How long were the couple of short trips?

Something like 2-3 miles. I took it out yesterday and while coming back home the red battery light came on the the speed started reducing. It looks like the bike was getting low on battery power, but the gauge was still indicating a full charge. I'm going to let it go through a full charging cycle now and see if that helps.

I have seen this before - your firmware revisions don't match.

It happens with old charger and new MC firmware combinations.

new charger and old MC results in bouncy fuel guage.

anyway, take it back and tell them to flash MC, charger and ICM for good measure.

If they don't have the files, send me your email address :)
