Looking at a Vectrix 2008

Hi all, I´m new on this forum..

I live in Sweden an are interested in a Vectix 2008, they are not that common here..

It´s built in November 2007 and the serial number is 2045

It has not been used that much (only 2200km) since It´s demo scooter and has been shown on fairs etc.
But the battery seems to be ok

What else is good to check up? is it bad that it has not been used that much? , they say that the battery has been charged frequently...
How to check firmvare version/what is the latest fw version etc.

Is the diagnostic/upgrade software free? can it be downloaded somewhere?

/Christian

You can check the firmware if you turn on the bike, put the red kill switch to the off position and press the left brake. If left LCD display shows battery voltage and battery temperature, then it's a good firmware. If not, tell them to update the firmware, otherwise your bike is sure to die in a couple of 1000's of km.

Re: Looking at a Vectrix 2008

Listen to it while it is moving through the entire speed range. Accelerate slowly on an uphill road and listen for any loud gearbox noises and/or uneven gearbox noise.

A good VX-1 gearbox has a relatively quiet and even whining sound. Some are not perfectly round and make a horrible noise, much louder than many ICE bikes.

This information may be used entirely at your own risk.

There is always a way if there is no other way!

The 200Ah fuse was installed from serial 2270 and above, aprox.
You have the 125 ah fuse, it may be a good idea to uppgrade your fuse to 200Ah
