When encountering one thread today pertaining to BYD, an EV manufacturer who has been launching a “FIVE GRAND GIVEAWAY” campaign for two-EV names on its Facebook page(/bydcompany), a very very freaking out question shot through my mind:
Do you, I mean every vehicle owner, really have got what your car name means?
So here are some reference I’ve gathered, and you are encouraged to be involved in.
GM EV1: Late 90s offering that was well-received but then controversially;
Tesla Roadster: Electric sports car that has become a poster boy for the industry;
The Nissan Leaf makes a direct tilt at making the driver feel good about buying into something environmentally-friendly;
The Citroen C-Zero goes the same way, taking zero carbon and putting it right into the model name.
