I think I posted about this here awhile ago. Y'all may have heard that NRG and California settled a long-running legal dispute left over from the California Energy Crisis 10 years ago. The settlement has NRG building a large electric car charging network in California, and setting up a branch of eVgo in California.
I've posted a bunch of details below. They posted documents of the final settlement, which I've linked below on the CPUC website.
If it's approved by the FERC -- the result will be a network of 200 fast charging stations in several metropolitan areas, plus 1,000+ sites containing wiring for 10,000+ charging stations.
It's a big expansion of California's EV infrastructure but as I think about it, it's also a drop in the bucket compared to what's actually required.
