I just recently got an '07 VX-1 working again after replacing both NiMH battery packs and the motor controller board. As stoked as I am to finally be riding this thing I did buy it to fix and resell. Anyone interested can PM me an offer, this bike is in the Texas/Louisiana area.
It's got < 3000 miles, recent (2010?) firmware installed, the exact revisions are available if interested. Cosmetically it has issues I'm working on, it was dropped by the previous owner and has scratches on a few fairings and a non-matching mirror. Also it's missing the windshield, if anyone knows where I can get one I'm interested...
Also, I still have the old battery packs I'd like to sell, one successfully charged before removing but the other one would not charge. Both had to be replaced to keep a factory match though.
Anyone who wishes to offer advice on keeping it in good health now that it's working is welcome to. Once I'm finished with it I will post it on ebay, et al.
