A co-worker sent me a link about Vision Motor Cars 'Hopper' two passenger plug-in EV (http://visionmotorcars.com/?page_id=606). I'd never heard of the company or the car before, and I don't see much information on the web about them. They claim it can go up to 100MPH, has a 100 mile range, and can cost as little as $10,000 after rebates (http://visionmotorcars.com/?page_id=579 . They discuss a range of battery options to meet every budget, so I doubt the $10k model has that range or speed, but it still sounds interesting.
Just curious what anyone knows about this company or their vehicles, other than what's on their website.
Their claim that the vehicle will fully recharge if left in a sunny parking lot for a few days looks like pure vaporware. It appears that they only offer LiFePo batteries, but they do claim otherwise in the same site, so who knows...?
I don't have any info to share - but personally I'd file it in the "too good to be true" file...
