Potential future LED headlight for VX-1 from vectrix

Apparently, this may be a direct upgrade for the existing VX-1 filament headlight (for a price?!)

Certainly looks the part!

Can't find any specs on it though other than...

Iconic New LED Headlight
The ultra-clean low and high LED beams are framed by two LED DRL (Daylight Running Light) light pipes that complete the progressive headlight design. The new light is aesthetically tied to the front aesthetic with jewelry-like design cues.

Doesn't mention wattages or cd/lm or whether you can run both high and low at once.

Ah, but this is the front end of the new VT-1, not the VX-1. I gravely doubt it can replace a VX-1 headlight...

This is the VT1 headlight
I doubt that it fits the VX1

Yes, you're quite right chaps, the pic is of the VT-1 but if you look, the shape is basically the same. I've been digging for info and been assured that it should be a drop in replacement! If so, that's clever thinking.

Again, time will tell!

Best wishes,

So, who do you know who is 'in the know'?!

It does look nice and would very much set the Vectrix (any model) apart from the ICE crowd - as it should.

David at EFS. He's held one and it looks even better 'in the flesh' apparently. It was also on the Rob Rady website or somewhere like that - I looked again and now I can't find the reference to the VX1 (rather than VT-1)

I like that a lot.

Wouldn't it be great if the pic of the VT-1 front end, above, hinted at future styling changes for its bigger brother?

Hi Drew,
This is one of the first pictures of the Vt-1: With Vx-1 mirrors and headlight.
Both headlights have the same shape.

But the question will be if the VX1 CANBUS will accept the VT1 Headlight or if it will act funny like with a HID conversion.

That's what I was thinking...the manufacturer could have made any software modification to make this headlight compatible.
