Hi Guys,
I came across this ebay listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/262269109698
they seem to be untested, but at ~US$200 I took a risk and bought one
the sellers reasoning as to why they may not work is a bit off (the IGBT module *is* the powerstage)
Looking at the picture of one of these - looks like this version have different connectors for the phase leads - the PCB is cut off so you can directly bolt to the terminals of the IGBT.
Its certainly an excellent price for a spare to keep buried away.
yeah that's the new version board (well, since ~2010 anyway)
far better than the old 2007 versions we in Australia have been stuck with
Daily Ride:
2007 Vectrix, modified with 42 x Thundersky 60Ah in July 2010. Done 194'000km
But it looks like the "big" 40A Fuses are burnt on the big picture. If this one is one of the best maybe thats the reason all of them were returned.
So i think it is only a deal if you have a source for new fuses.
OK mine turned up today.
The good - the IGBT seems to be OK (no shorts between power and phase)
- the caps and cap fuses are OK
The bad - there is a fried resistor or capacitor near the low voltage connector 12 Pin 1 - 12V Acc.
The ugly - the pins of the IGBT are smashed together (can be fixed by straightening or trimming flush to the PCB) and the on-board transformer has had the plastic former damaged and the wires are showing. Don't think they are cut though.
