Hello All,
Is David Dugan the only place to get Runke software for old NiHy batteries? I want something along the lines of what the laird did for ESD chargers (Silver ones) . It seems that his software really prolongs the life of these older batteries... - although I have just had a cell failure now - but it also could have been damaged long ago by the Vectrix software which was not fit for purpose...
Thanks for any input.
Jonathan
Unfortunatelly the EVPS runke firmware was never sourced to The Laird team.
However, I've tested the Dugas Firmware. They're based on MC20XX firmwares for Lithium, I'm sure they are the newest firmware evolution a NIMH unit can take. With VX1 configurator you can set voltage limits on MC, enable control cruise, and configure charge voltage/power to EVPS.
Issues: Dugas configurator do not accept dots, and lower limit for each "cell" is 2.5 volts. Dougas declined to improve the program, he is too busy.
To match NIMH, I set Low voltage MC 121V, low cell voltage 2.50 (1.25*2), and hi voltage 2.84 (1,42*2),and then 51 cells (102/2) in the configurator.
Results into 144,8V, perfect to protect NIMH from overcharge.
Edit: I cannot locate download firmware page of Dugas, only http://www.dugasengineering.com/
If you need them I can ask to upload them to the The laird Box.
If you can find the firmware that would be fantastic.
Thanks for your help.
