Hi, Vectrixparts have new Li ion firmware but there is not information about version, new features or bugs. Does anyone know anything? Now is not free download, you have to paid 55€ for remote update :C

Hi
I have not everthing tested yet, but what they told me is:
-new BMS firmware, it balance much better and will produce less heat
eq is also much faster now as it start in CV, also u will notice that the balance dead band is much closer, now just 0,03mV
-uprst bug is now corrected
-est range calculation is different (much better than original)
-using setup menu by display u have also possibilities to reduce charging voltage from 4,15 to whatever lower value like 4,0 o 3,9
the battery will benefit of cicle life, expecially if charged at low temperature better to set 4,0
maybe something more but we will see...
till now I have no uprst bug, est range is much better, the rest I will test when the weather is getting better...
Thanks, good information. Do you know id max power is now 200A instead of 180A? If you have to update again do you have to paid again? Wich versión are firmware un scootdiag?
Thanks a lot
You can tell them what current you want. My new setting is 200A and 120km/h. I don't know if you have to pay again. But at the moment I see no reason for a new update and if the changes be worth, I will pay. Now I have all firmwares new but I can't tell you at the moment, I have to take a look in the scooter.
So; to upgrade I just need Scooterdiag and cable + Teamviewer or similar?
I wonder: Do yoy keep the firmware files? Or would I need support if one part containing firmware shall be replaced?
I have the former firmware, spring 2016. Hope this firmware or the new one do allow LED headlight, without warning light..?
Yes Scooterdiag and Teamviewer we used.
He deletes the files after update. It allow LED headlight without warning light...
How works new firmware? Any bugs? Do you do a future update free or have to paid again? How much?
Thanks
Till now MC and ICM works great. In the charging firmware we have to find something because with big batteries there is someting strange in the end of charge. Not serious but the charge takes too much time. For enything else you have to contact vectrixparts. I can not make a statement in their name... and I don´t know how they will go on...
I can only tell you they look for the bug and I get it for free...
Thanks for your infos Rolli.
I think I will keep last years firmware until furter.
LED headlight would be good, but in Norway we have sun until late night, most of the season :)
Actually, the halogen bulb has lasted 8 years, 24 000 Kms until now.
Your vectrix sometimes buzzes without pressing the button?
I never noticed something like that.
For The ICM there are some new functions from the latest DIY release.
The hazard lights turns on automatically when in reverse.
The horn is in Chirp mode under 40Km/h and normal Horn over.
When the scooter is "started" in GO you will see an hazard flash (like vx-2)
The entire firmware set Charger/BMS/Motor Controller is improved and more old bugs are definitively resolved.
During ride the scooter is more reactive and powerful than before.
This is probably due to the bulb being continually powered by a fixed 12V supply instead of the 14~14.5V charging voltage that most 12V automotive bulbs have to endure.
Just out of interest, I tested a 60W halogen headlamp bulb on a variable power supply and it was drawing 5.18A at a regulated 12.0V (62.16W), but when I increased the voltage to 14.5V (the maximum acceptable charging voltage) the current being drawn increased to 5.6A (81.2W).
The 30% increase in the power being consumed made a very noticeable difference to the amount of light being produced.
This is why the standard 35W halogen headlamp bulbs are not very bright with the fixed 12V supply, but as you've discovered, it does have the advantage of a much longer lifespan.

Good point about bulb/ Voltage. Halogen lights indoor will also last much longer if they are dimmed.
Finally got a car with LED-lights. The BMW I3. Among other stuff, it is good to forget about replacing bulbs..:)
Would be great to see a cycle between the current time and the Amp drawn...
And if the Amp draw is all over the map track that until it stabilizes and then go back to toggling the clock. So if you are accelerating onto the road it shows you what happens as you speed up or hit the regen

Hi, did anyone get this firmware, or is it still being developed?
