Greetings -
I've been unsuccessful in finding a shop that will replace the battery pack in my 2007 Vectrix. It has the original, and now completely and totally dead, battery pack. Everything worked, other than the batteries, the last time it was ridden. That was in 2012.
I am getting ready to move and the bike needs to be scrapped. I have the title, and I'm sure some kind of formal title transfer will be needed -- I've never scrapped a vehicle before. But if you can make arrangements to pick it up, I can get you the signed title.
Do you still have the scooter? I am interested in just the controller and charger and could pay up to $500. Send me an email to grgallop [at] gmail.com!
Thanks, Graham
omg... scrapped? If you're looking for a shop to do the battery my guess is
you do not work on the bike... but... I have to ask: would you be willing to
pull the ICM? (it's under the windshield (4bolts) and the plastic dash cover, one large
connector, four bolts and about 15 minutes will get it out)
Interested?
Yes, the entire bike was scrapped. I tried a number of times to get Electric Avenue, and a few other e-bike shops, in Austin Texas to repair the bike and no one was interested. So, it was hauled off as scrap material and I haven’t the slightest idea what has become of any of it.
no.... no... nonoononnnNONONONONONO
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
say it isn't so......
Such a pity!
We can support vectrix owners here...
There are a lot of very supportive posts here, and I tried getting the owner of Electric Avenue in Austin, TX to use them. But it just never panned out. I will think about getting another electric motorcycle in the future, but the company needs to have solid backing and not be the financial train wreck that Vectrix was.
