My XM-2000 came this morning, a mere 6 days after I placed my order. I was surprised that it came so quickly.
However, the scooter was damaged in transport. Specifically, the left body panel (red) is cracked, the front of the footwell (to the left of the small storage area) is cracked, the chrome on the right handgrip (throttle) is scraped, and the top of the controller is damaged (the white cable housing is bent and appears broken). Both kickstands had busted through the cardboard shipping box, as did the right handgrip through the box top. I listed all of these on the receipt from R&L carriers, except for the footwell damage, which I discovered later. I took photos of the damage.
Also, I did not receive any MSO or VIN paperwork.
I sent this information to BaseStationZero, but am wondering if I need to deal directly with X-Treme to provide the replacement parts and the paperwork.
My initial reaction to seeing the scooter was disappointment. The damage and the cardboard dust on it made it look less than showroom new. My wife said it looked like a toy. Once I had all the extra parts installed, I took it for a short ride. The low speed/high speed shifter button is anoying. I never could tell which "gear" I was in. Neither got me over 28 mph on level ground. Perhaps after a full charge, shifting will be more obvious, and I will feel less like a bicylist.
I'll give you another report after an overnight charge.
