Anyone know anything about Lithium Ferrite cells?
Or Lithium Ferrite as an Alternate Anode Material?
This certainly made for some interesting googling. I don't remember enough chemistry to explain why by, but the formulas varied from LiFe0 to LiFeO to LiFeO. Apparently the stability of the iron ions is a problem so most experiments/prototypes are adding other atoms like manganese, cobalt, or phosphorus. These chemistries have been covered here in great detail. I guess this is a long way of saying "I don't know," but I want to thank you for an entertaining hour.
