Um, where did you find this? ecobikes.co.nz doesn't list those specs on the page which matches that picture.

I agree with the general message .. to beware for scammers. HOWEVER, those specs aren't entirely out of line.

Note: Curtis 48 Volt, 400 Amp...0 to 70 MPH in less 3 second

Never underestimate the ability of a heavy duty controller to make a tiny vehicle move really fast. This vehicle looks like the kind Craig used to specialize in.. he used to specialize in taking Boreem clone scooters and rebuilding them to be monster scooters. I've seen Craigs vehicles move, I've ridden one (once), and I know that if you put a heavy duty motor (e.g. ETEK) and a heavy duty controller (400A) onto a small scooter, and beef up (appropriately) the vehicle frame and brakes, that the vehicle can very well accelerate to high speeds quickly.

Okay.. 0..70 miles/hr in 3 seconds is a little outrageous, though. That acceleration rate would make it compare with vehicles used for NEDRA races. Dunno if a 400A controller could do it or not.

The thing I'm alarmed with .. and Craigs scooters alarmed me the same way .. if you were able to go 70 miles/hr on that scooter, it would be a death trap. It might be a fun ride, sure. But that frame is not built for that speed, nor are those wheels and brakes built for that speed.
