any clear photos on Motor & controller ?
It looks like rear drum brake and this is very dangerous based on 50mph speed.....
And 72V is very dangerous electric shock if insulation is not good !
any more information on this scooter ?
Wow!! It's cheaper than the xm 3500, but doesn't look as good. Still looks like a better value.
Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.
Hey guys,
This is Robert from Scooter Cruiser, one of a few helping to develop the 72v Condor. Post any questions here and I'll do my best to answer them for you.
We should have our scooters arriving early July at which point we'll start testing the component and system schemes for the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery upgrades. We'll also have the Condor available in a lead acid 72v / 2,000 watt for $2,200.
Apart from upgrading the components and wiring to accomodate the significant increase in power and speed with regards to brakes, motor, controller, etc, we will of course thoroughly test everything and offer more powerful motor upgrades and components. We are also upgrading to 12" more solid and wider tires for better distance and puncture safety. Styling will be better developed as well.

Sounds good, keep us posted.

So it seems that the information and specs listed at the website are still only theoretical at this point, as you don't even have your hands on the product yet. We have seen this before here at the V boards, where making the optimistic projections into reality ends up taking way more effort and time than imagined. I do wish you the best in meeting projected performance numbers and creating a decent reliable safe entry into the market that has a huge need at this point.
The first company that can bring a highly reliable Lifepo4 powered electric scooter with even 80% of the performance and range you are shooting for will end up having a hard time keeping up with demand.
Robert,
I have some questions:
1. Can you provide details on the LiFePO4 battery pack - manufacturer, number of cells, AH capacity, type of battery management system?
2. Is this a hub motor scooter?
3. Tire/rim size and wheel base?
4. Controller manufacturer?
Thanks,
Paul D.
"Wow!! It's cheaper than the xm 3500, but doesn't look as good."
All a matter of taste - the xm3500 with its little "token" windshield in not my cup of tea, this scooter has the more traditional look.
Because we are still developing ideas and testing components, any configuration scheme planned for release would be premature to comment on without first testing out the whole system. When we get to that point, Zane from Skeuter will post the final configuration here and answer any questions you all might have.

Updates?
Has anybody ridden one of these yet?
Okay, so in MY ideal world, some poor shmuck... oops I mean, wealthy investigator, would buy a new R-30 AND this Condor and run head to head tests to see how they fair...
any takers?
The body is a Lance Vintage 150cc gas scooter.
