I would think photobucket would let you link an image into a post here.
Because I'm funding this site out of my pocket the disk space is limited. There are plenty of third party services for posting pictures and you should be able to find one which allows linking an image onto a V posting much like you can with youtube videos.
I do not like this, I don't want to produce stuff that is cumbersome to read and navigate, and I definitely do not want to add another level of complexity to my writing of these reports.
Starting deleting pictures to make room is not a good option at this stage either. It would be a very time intensive task for starters, and maybe some of the threads and the photos in them are going to be useful for a few people down the track, who knows.
I want to wind down this Vectrix reporting business a bit anyway.
Let me know if/when the storage price has come down by another two or three orders of magnitude, allowing you to allocate more storage space to each V user, please.
Just out of interest: Am I the first V user running out of space or is this a rather common occurrence?
I'll just join the lurkers for a bit...

Don't use the direct link. Use the image or HTML code. Here's one from mine:

Mik, I went to that page and noticed there's a box below the image with four items. One is a direct link but two of them are embed codes either of which will work with the V forum software.
Get a Photobucket account. :)

Thanks!
Can I link to photos in photobucket so that the photos are integrated into the V threads as usual without needing V storage space?
Or would you have to click on a link each time you want to see a photo?

Thanks, David for running this site out of your own funds!
Keep up the great effort.
I have had a look into the Photobucket site and it looks like the photos would appear on V only as links such as this: http://photobucket.com/image/vectrix/greencarco/Fleet%20Brochure/vectrix_electric.jpg?o=3
