Incredibly, the Advertising Standards Authority have said Vectric 'zero emissions' claim in their advertising is FALSE, saying that because the bike plugs into the electricity socket, the power grid used DOES emit carbon, and as such the Vectrix claim is false. You can read their reasoning here;
http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/Public/TF_ADJ_44374.htm
I'm with Vectrix on this one, it is at the point of use the claim is justified - and they also ignored the fact some riders use wind and solar power to effect their recharching. The ASA have lost all credibility IMHO.
What is really funny is that they found nothing else wrong with the Vectrix advertising!
I guess no-one has complained yet.
What is being completely ignored are the grey emissions during production and the Vectrix specific emissions during all those trips by road and air that the techs take to fix them!

LOL, don't forget the smoke fumes from the frying batteries.
Mik, I'm assuming that the, erm, orientation of the Vectrix in your avitar is indicative of it's current state? :P

And the smell of the tow truck was not easily ignored, either! Amazing how they can stink out a whole house whilst lowering the tray with a very quiet bike on it.
And about the orientation.... lets stop that penguin from getting seasick...!
