This forum is mostly regarding the old e-max and it's clones. The new e-max's look nice, but as far as I know, they are only available in Europe. as far as I know, no one is importing them, or getting US DOT certification for their use in the US. Does their web site have any info?
About 6 months ago, I found a website for a US importer. I emailed the contact twice and never got a reply...

Here is an copy of my latest email from E-max in Germany I received today:
Eric,
Thank you for your enquiry. We are making our official US launch at the Indy Dealer Expo next month. We are in discussions with a number of master distributors and I will keep you informed of progress. Our models are DOT approved.
Best regards,

This is good news.
We may finally be on our way to quality two-wheeled electric transportation.
Now we can only get the public acceptance of 2 wheeled motor vehicles as practical everyday transportation for the major part of the year - rather just strictly recreational toys, we will finally see some success - and the politicians might take notice and finally give us a tax credit too.
