Hi all Vectix friends!
Today (only 10 days after ordering!) I got my Vectrix 2008.
I would like to thank you guys for all the very interesting articles you wrote in this forum that gave me the final kick to buy this wonderful machine.
I rode home the 25 km from my dealer and felt that happy at the Vectrix Scooter in about 10 mins!
With more experience more will come from me in the future (perhaps more questions ;-)...

How much did you pay for it in your country?

Here in Portugal it costs 8560€ (around 12500$...a huge difference from the 9325$ they sell in US).
But i would like to know if the price is quite the same in austria.

The tax here is 20% of the total price...and i don't know if vectrix pay vehicle tax. if so the tax is around 30%-35% of total price...too much tax...

Congratulations on the new toy! I've had mine about 1.5 weeks - I'm charging the 5th charge right now. I'm having a blast. They are still selling the 2007, as new bikes, here in California. I bought mine at the BMW dealer in San Rafael and they didn't even have any 2008's. The price for the 2007 was $8750. It was just over $10000 after taxes.

I believe the distinguishing factor is called 'existence'.

Or, if you can touch it, it's a 2007 model!

MIk is mostly correct, but a small number of Vectrix scooters seem to have been manufactured in 2008.

The Updates from Vectrix forum topic had a discussion about the 2008-06-30 Vectrix Corporation Interim Results, which contained this information:

PRODUCTION REVIEW

In the first half of the year we manufactured 244 vehicles. We anticipate commencing 2009 model year build in the latter part of the current financial year. In order to maintain our listing status with National Automobile Dealers Association we are required to show continuous production and product models.

At period end, we have aligned production with our growing distribution network. Based on our reduced production plan for the balance of FY2008 and our accelerating dealer sales, we expect inventories to reduce significantly by year end.

The dealer told me that there were no changes between 2007 and 2008 models, other than software changes. And all of the 2007's have been updated to the 2008 software level.
