Need Help Upgrading a scooter motor and controller .

Hey Guys ,
I've just got a new electric scooter and i'm having problems climbing the hill on the way back home. i need to upgrade the controller and the engine
The scooter is 24v ( electric charger and battery )
The controller is - 500 W - 24v ( ct-02 model )
The engine is 500 W ( My 1020 )
Can i change the engine and the controller to 36 v ?
Or i can change just the watt ?

Any help would be appreciated

You probably don't even have to change out the motor. Most can handle over their rated voltage. The controller may or may not handle 36V (brushed controllers are cheap if it can't). Easiest way to tell is to try it. Best way to tell is to open it up and check out a few parts.

The problem of running a 24v controller at 36v is that the cut-off voltage remains 21v (10.5v per cell).
This voltage is too low for a 36v battery, and if you run the scooter under the proper cut-off voltage for a 36v setup (31.5v) then you will cause damage to the battery.
