Curious to know what your experience is with the charger. Defective? If it works great how many times have you used it to charge so far? Shipping the bikes with the speedometer off by 10mph is just absolutely phenomenal... Still looks like we have an apathy problem... Am I wrong? Thoughts?

I was riding it to work almost every day. I got 1000 Kilometers on it and then the charger burned up! I am still waiting for them to send me a replacement. Its been 2 weeks now.

Thats correct-I'm hoping to get the batteries recharged using some home built charger.I'm worried about them becoming sulfated from sitting around discharged.
Did you know there's a difference between the XM-3000 and XM-3500Li?

ya, I know, the wattage and the lithium batterys right? Can you tell me if this home built charger is safe to use until PGM sends me my replacement charger?
